TinyTreks is on the App Store now

May 21, 2026·1 min read

For about a year, TinyTreks has only lived on the web. You opened the site, found an activity book, printed it. That worked fine if you were sitting at a laptop.

Most of the time, you're not.

You're at the pediatrician. You're in the school pickup line. You're on the couch at 9pm trying to figure out what your kid will do tomorrow morning. The phone is what's in your hand.

So this week we shipped the iOS app.

It's free, it's on the App Store, and you can grab it here.

What it does

Same library as the website. Coloring, mazes, math, writing, puzzles. All free, all hand-picked.

A few things it does that the mobile web never did well:

  • Browse by age, grade, or subject with one thumb.
  • Pick which pages to print — you don't always want all 30 pages of a book.
  • Tap print, the system print dialog opens, your home printer is right there. No "save to Files, then open Files, then share" dance.
  • Favorites sync with the website. Bookmark on the phone, find it on the laptop later.

The maze generator, sudoku, and name-tracing tool run on-device. The rest still open the web app for now.

What's missing

Being honest about the first version:

  • No offline downloads yet.
  • No iPad-specific layout — it works on iPad, just doesn't take advantage of the screen.
  • No home-screen widget.

These will come. None of them block the main thing — kid is bored, you have a minute, you want to print something for tomorrow.

If you try it, tell us what's broken. The library tinytreks.co keeps growing every week, and the app picks all of it up for free.
